Volunteers are a critical component for the Georgia Heartland Humane Society to find Forever Homes for the cats and dogs in our care. Our entire group is volunteers who devote their time, skills, knowledge, and energy to rescuing and assisting animals in need.
We are also recruiting volunteers with a specific skill - be it graphic art, photography, videography, marketing, business, etc. If you have a skill or talent you would like to lend to Georgia Heartland Humane Society please contact us, with a description of your expertise and your general availability.

Fostering is a great way for families to volunteer together, or for people who love pets but are unable to bring one into their home permanently. Our foster volunteers are a group of very caring people who do everything from bottle-feeding orphaned babies around the clock, to socializing little ones to ensure that they look forward to human and animal interaction. Foster volunteers provide care, safety, and love.
Georgia Heartland Provides:

About Georgia Heartland Humane Society
PO Box 72197, Newnan, GA 30271, US
To work to end the suffering of dogs and cats resulting from abuse, neglect, ignorance and pet overpopulation. To advocate the humane treatment of animals through (1) rescue of abandoned, neglected, and abused animals; (2) a spay/neuter assistance program; (3) promoting community awareness through humane education and (4) initiation and support of positive changes in local community municipal codes and state law regarding animal protection . Many of the animals that become a part of our program would not survive without our help. We rescue injured animals that are unable to get the help they require to heal and we rescue abused animals that don't know comfort and kindness and love.
Georgia Heartland Humane Society is a nonprofit agency which receives no government assistance. Our organization relies sole ly on the generosity of the public, striving to maintain its strong fundraising efforts within the community and with area businesses and corporations. We do not operate a shelter, but offer services to the residents of our community and their companion animals. Our volunteers are passionate in their belief that all pets deserve loving families and are working towards accomplishing that goal through community service programs.
