Mint Artists Guild wants to develop new workshops on business and career ideas for young creatives and is looking for experts to lead these. Some topics that we would like to cover over the next year are:
- Print it. Turn one piece of art into 20 pieces. How to get started with limited editions, and what works well in this area.
-Sell it. Smart advice on how to sell your work in person, and what kinds of strategies and approaches make sense - and more cash at the end of the art fair or pop up.
-Business planning for creative types. Need someone with a sense of humor / energy and creative engaging approach to start developing a business plan / entrepreneurial underpinnings at age 18.
-Pricing creatively. Pricing creative work is among the most difficult tasks for artists, so we are seeking an artist who has a strong business sense to share ideas and tactcis on how to set prices on paintings, photos, jewelry and other creative work.
If you have expertise to share during a two to three hour workshop for young creatives (most ages 14 to 19), please contact us. Mint Artists workshops are held in a variety of creative venues, art galleries, businesses, nonprofit spaces.

Description
Mint works with artists ages 13 to 23 on entrepreneurial, career and life skills, and gives them opportunities to sell their creative work. A summer jobs program, business workshops and online educational and informational resources are offered to young visual artists. In 2020, we launched the Metro Detroit Youth Arts Competition, a creative activity kit giveaway (of 5,500 kits) and in 2021, we launched leadership development training. This year, we are working on an alumni engagement program, adding creative jobs to our website and so much more. We need your help and support to continue our growth!
