Lenox Hill Neighborhood House, widely recognized as one of New York's premiere human services providers, is a 123-year-old settlement house that provides an extensive array of effective and integrated services which significantly improve the lives of 20,000 people in need each year, ages 3 to 103 on Manhattan's East Side. We are seeking volunteers to staff the Reception/Information desk of our vibrant, busy Senior Center on Tuesdays or Wednesdays, 9:00-12:00 or two Saturdays per month 9:00-12:00. Volunteers will be responsible for checking in senior center members for meals and activities, answering in-person and phone inquiries, signing members up for trips and other light clerical tasks.

Description
Lenox Hill Neighborhood House was founded in 1894 by the Alumnae Association of Normal College (now known as Hunter College of the City University of New York) as a free kindergarten for the children of indigent immigrants. Since then, we have remained at the forefront of community advocacy and social and educational change.
