ORGANIZATION: United Way of Tarrant County

Volunteers are needed for proposal review during September.

We are looking for experienced entrepreneurs, business experts and social innovators to support KERNEL www.unitedwaytarrant.org/kernel, a new United Way social innovation initiative.

With a 10-15 hour volunteer commitment, you can support the first year of the KERNEL program as an external reviewer of the proposals submitted from 27 social innovators in Tarrant County.

What is KERNEL?

KERNEL, United Way of Tarrant County’s new social innovation fund has the primary purpose of making significant changes in key community issues by working with a cross-sector of people, organizations, non-profits, for-profits and entrepreneurs to solve problems!

KERNEL was established in 2016 in response to investors seeking creative solutions to Tarrant County’s education, income and health issues. KERNEL exists to encourage new approaches and strategies to find solutions to these social challenges in our community.

You can see the full timeline and commitment in the file titled "KERNEL_Volunteer Review" and see if this will be a fit for you.

If you are interested, please complete the application www.unitedwaytarrant.org/kernel -volunteer-apply no later than Friday, Sept 9. Send any questions to: kernel@unitedwaytarrant.org
