The Importance of Presence

We are looking for patient and empathetic individuals who wish to give their precious time to a person receiving end of life care. Hospice volunteers do everything from sitting, reading, listening, to walks and errand running for the primary caregivers who deserve a break.

We require our volunteers to attend two Saturday training sessions to become fully certified and acknowledgement that once matched with a hospice patient our volunteers can dedicate at most 4 hours a week (but it is typically 1-2 hours weekly). The volunteer chooses their patient match and will not be forced into any situation that they are not comfortable with.
