Join the FRIENDS of the Minnesota Orchestra and become a Kinder Konzerts guide at Orchestra Hall.
There will be a training and orientation session on Friday, October 7th at 9:30 am at Orchestra Hall.
Kinder Konzerts is an extremely popular program that introduces preschool and kindergarten-age children to music. Children particpate in sound factories and also get to sit on stage with Minnesota Orchestra musicians to learn more about their instruments and hear a story narrated to music. Guides play an integral role greeting and leading the groups to their activity locations, helping children try instruments, as well as interacting with many children and parents. There are opportunities to lead sound factories for those who enjoy speaking and leading activities in front of groups of 25-40 people.
Guides undergo some training, make new friends, and get to play a major role in the success of each Kinder Konzert. We ask that you committ to at least 4 dates (although you will want to do them all - this is fun!) There are 12 dates in the 2016-17 season, all in the morning from apprximately 9 am - Noon.
