Join Northern Illinois Food Bank on Friday, Sept. 15, at its North Suburban Center in Park City for Hunger Action Month Pack-A-Thon. This festive event will engage the community in the Food Bank's mission to solve hunger in our community through friendly competitions between volunteer teams to label and pack the most food for our hungry neighbors and will include raffles and other surprises. A great event for individuals as well as corporate and social groups to build camaraderie while helping our hungry neighbors. Volunteer sessions are from 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.; 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.; 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Register online at www.SolveHungerToday.org or call our volunteer team at 630-443-6910.

Did you know 1 in 8 of our neighbors in northern Illinois face hunger? 1 in 5 kids in northern Illinois face hunger struggles as well. Northern Illinois Food Bank acquires donated food from retailers, local and national manufacturers, farmers, individuals, businesses, the federal government and also purchases additional products. Northern Illinois Food Bank then delivers the food to our network partners for distribution to hungry neighbors. We currently work with 700 network partners in 13 counties to help feed those in need. Volunteer, donate, and get involved in our feeding hungry neighbors today!
