If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, are comfortable in the kitchen and would like to help the National Aviary to prepare food for our birds, this position may be for you! Help our Education Trainers create diets for Amazons & Aracaris and other non-meat eating animal ambassadors. Food is measured and weighed for each of the 80 individual birds in the collection. You will work with seeds, nuts (including peanuts), fresh fruit and vegetables and possibly insects.
