Available times: Monday through Friday 0800 - 1600
Position Overview
The Client Services Assistant (CSA) provides a professional, customer-focused, initial impression of the Society. The volunteer is appointed by the Chair of Volunteers (COV), in consultation with the Director, and serves under the supervision of the CSA Lead.
Core Responsibilities
- Serve as client’s ambassador focused on outstanding client services
- Greet clients courteously and ascertain eligibility to apply for assistance
- Assist client in determining required documents for interview
- Enter or update client data in CAP
- Manage phone calls and schedule appointments
- Process inquiries and direct to appropriate program leads/referrals
- Process Quick Assist Loans (QAL)

Professional Development Objectives
- Level I Client Services Assistant TQS
- Remain current on programs, policies, and procedures and attend required training

Mission Statement
The mission of the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society is to provide, in partnership with the Navy and Marine Corps, financial, educational, and other assistance to members of the Naval Services of the United States, eligible family members, and survivors when in need; and to receive and manage funds to administer these programs.
Description
Founded in 1904, the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society is a private non-profit charitable organization. It is sponsored by th e Department of the Navy and operates nearly 250 offices ashore and afloat at Navy and Marine Corps bases throughout the world. The Society was incorporated in the District of Columbia and has its headquarters in Arlington, Virginia. It is managed by a Board of Directors whose members are active duty or retired members of the Naval Services, or spouses of active duty or retired members of the Naval Services.
