Volunteer position description: Volunteers of all ages are needed to help senior citizens at St. Joseph Garden Courts, an independent senior living facility, understand the basics of modern-day devices. Volunteers will spend about 45 minutes with seniors to teach them about computers, iPhones, Androids, iPads or any other devices they may benefit from learning about. This position will allow volunteers to interact with different generations and brighten a senior's day!
Schedule Requirements: This position is available Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Commitment Requirements: Volunteers must commit to sharing knowledge of modern day technology devices in short 45 minute mentoring sessions at least once per month for a minimum of 3 months.
Qualifications: The ideal volunteer will be patient, open to new experiences with diverse populations and generations, and have knowledge of one or more modern technological devices like computers, smart phones, etc.
Age Requirements: This position is available to volunteers ages 16 and older.
