Dare2B serves as a charitable agent to make it easy for you to do good in your community. Efforts focus on providing
-unique experiences that make living in a shelter less traumatic for homelesschildren.
-innovative solutions that equip and inspire homeless children, ages 5 - 17,to break the cycle of poverty.
Currently, the Dare2B team is seeking part-time volunteers to help expand efforts throughout New York City. Volunteers will benefit from a ground floor opportunity with an early-stage non-profit joining a diverse and proven team of entrepreneurs in international business and program development.
This position requires the following with flexibility offered:
-3-month commitment is highly appreciated
-6 - 7 hours 2 days a week
Available office hours Tuesday and Thursday from 10:30am - 4:30pm
Under general direction and supervision, the Graphic Designer will assist in the development of program materials, branding of special events and graphics for the web to raise awareness on the organization.
-Conceptualize, design, and create mock-ups from small enhancements to entirely new designs
-Design beautiful, clear and engaging communication pieces. This will include logos, images, newsletters, website and social media graphics, flyers, print pieces and web experiences for our audience
-Collaborate with leadership team to determine project scope and timeframe
-Work closely with project team (specifically Fundraising Coordinator, Social Media Coordinator and Public Relations Coordinator) to translate their messaging concepts into marketing materials
-Volunteer must bring own laptop to work on assigned tasks
-Access to graphic design and layout software (Photoshop, Illustrator or any other software
-Solid conceptualization, design and artistic ability
-Strong communication and organizational skills
-Have familiarity with mobile/responsive design principles
-Creative and social-media savvy
-Ability to work independently as part of a team
-Strong understanding of real-world web needs
-Ability to maintain confidentiality
-Commitment to high standards, customer service, integrity, and ethics
-Strong desire to want to improve our community and the quality of life for the homeless children we serve
-BONUS - A bachelor’s degree in graphic arts/design or equivalent work experience
