Being diagnosed with cancer can be overwhelming, and cancer
treatments often change the way someone looks and can affect
their self-esteem. We can help people regain their confidence
and self-esteem through the Look Good Feel Better(r) program.
In a supportive group setting, patients learn simple beauty
techniques to help manage the appearance-related side effects
of treatment. They also have a chance to talk with other cancer
patients going through similar experiences.
Program volunteers make a difference, and really help patients look and feel better. Volunteers must be a licensed cosmetologist and will conduct 2 hour classes to women in treatment. Training will be provided.
