About

Dare2B serves as a charitable agent to make it easy for you to do good in your community. Efforts focus on providing

* unique experiences that make living in a shelter less traumatic for homeless children

* innovative solutions that equip and inspire homeless children, ages 5 - 17, to break the cycle of poverty

Currently, the Dare2B team is seeking part-time volunteers to help expand efforts throughout New York City. Volunteers will benefit from a ground floor opportunity with an early-stage non-profit joining a diverse and proven team of entrepreneurs in international business and program development.

Position Reports to

Social Media Coordinator and Executive Director

This position requires between 6 - 7 hours a week - Flexibility offered

Available office hours - Tuesday and Thursday from 10:30am - 4:30pm

3 - month commitment highly appreciated

Under general direction and supervision, the Content Coordinator is responsible for the organization's content (social media, PR, website and related projects):

* Writes, edits, and proofreads new content

* Create and maintain a blog for the website and create articles

* Making sure that the content strategy is in line with the SEO rules. And all the SEO related keywords are properly used

* Content writing for the monthly newsletter

* Report to the senior management about tasks and targets

Qualifications/Requirements

* Volunteer must bring own laptop to work on assigned tasks

* Internet, Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

* 2+ years’ experience in managing content related keywords are properly used

* Exceptional communication and writing skills

* Should have creative thinking

* An understanding of SEO and web content management systems

* Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Technical Writing or a related field

* Strong organizational skills

* Ability to work independently as part of a team

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* Ability to maintain confidentiality

* Strong desire to want to improve our community and the quality of life for the homeless

* Commitment to high standards, customer service, integrity, and ethics
