iServe Mohawk Valley is sponsoring a local Chapter of "Food Recovery Network" (FRN). STUDENT Volunteers are needed to come to the Utica Campus, Resident dining hall, in the Alumni College Center (ACC) in the late afternoon (3:00-4:30pm) on Wed and Fri's to help wrap and repackage leftover food. Local soup kitchens and feeding centers will then pick up these donations to feed the hungry at their sites. FRN was founded by a college student and is the largest student run food recovery program in America. Fight waste and feed people! Have a hand in helping campus food service stay green while also contributing to the well being of our community! Orientation and training will be supplied.
