Every Monday from 8/15/2016 to 10/3/2016, we will be running a series of canning and freezing events to preserve excess garden produce for the Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf. The events will be from 3 pm-7 pm in the Bishop Booth Conference Center Kitchen. Last year projects included making jam, applesauce, dilly beans, pickles and more. Come learn about how to preserve food and take the skills home so that you can enjoy fresh produce year round!
We are setting aside 4 hours each week, however, some weeks might not take the full 4 hours and we are willing to accommodate schedules if you can only make it for 2 or 3 hours!
