Job Title: Magic of Giving Gala Intern

Description: The National Kidney Foundation local office is in search of the best and brightest candidates to complete an exciting, fast-paced special event/fundraising internship with our organization. The intern will have the opportunity to learn the many facets of successful fundraising event management while working with the Magic of Giving Gala event director.

Areas of Opportunity: *Event planning, to include Committee meetings, Patron Party, Gala.

*Sponsorship requests

*Event promotion

*Development and maintenance of event web page

*Social media

*The importance of data management

*Prospecting- participants, donations, sponsors

*Effective event structure and implementation

Qualifications: *Students entering their junior or senior year in American Humanics, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Public Administration, Business, Non-Profit Studies or other related areas of study are encouraged to apply.

*Excellent verbal and written communication skills

*Strong presentation skills

*A high level of organization

Dates: January - May 2017 (flexible)

Hours: Part Time (flexible-approx. 10-20 hrs. week)
