We are currently looking for someone with a warm smile, and a heart to help others. The receptionist is the first person our clients and visitors will come in contact with and needs to be someone with a heart for others.
Some job requirements will be:
*answering phones and directing calls to appropriate persons
*prepare food bags when needed
*informing those who call about programs we provide
*directing clients as they come in for assistance
*providing a welcoming atmosphere for those who may visit our facilities
* accept and sort donations that may come in
Looking for someone who can be long term for at least one day a week or several days a week. Office hours are Mondays, Thursdays 10-3 and Fridays 11-3.

Description
The Salvation Army located in Richmond KY provides many services to help those in need here in Madison county and 4 other surrounding areas. In our Social Service office, we provide emergency food and clothing for those in need as well as utility assistance. We also have a soup kitchen that runs on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday from 11-1. Our mobile canteen (mobile kitchen) goes out every Saturday to our most needed neighborhoods to serve soup and sandwiches.
We also have an emergency shelter that provides a safe place to stay for those in need.
Children programs are offered throughout the week for at risk youth in our community and we are always seeking good role models for these programs.
Without the generous support of volunteers, it would not be possible to provide all of the programs and services that The Salvation Army offers.
