JOIN OUR VOLUNTEER DRIVER TEAM! Volunteer Drivers help the blood center by delivering blood products to service hospitals. In addition, they are very helpful with our Center/Site Pick-ups. Volunteer would begin at the Inventory Management & Distribution Department in Maryland Heights, MO and driving a MVRBC vehicle deliver product to a MVRBC Service Hospital or Pick up Product that has been collected at our 2 Donor Centers. Several Opportunities are available now: 1 - Every or Every Other Friday; Pick up vehicle at Maryland Heights and drive to our Crestwood donor center, arriving at 1:30 pm, pick up the day's collection and continue on to our St. Peters donor center to pick up their day's collection about 2:00 pm. Return to Maryland Heights to unload product.
If you live close to the Crestwood donor center and willing to drive your own vehicle, we could reimburse your mileage for your pick up.
2 - Assist the Maryland Heights Distribution Department by being an 'on-call' volunteer between 4 - 8 pm when available. Staff would call you to make a hospital delivery for them during that timeframe. If you can, that's great. If you have plans, it's OK. You should live close to our Maryland Heights distribution department.
