A French or Haitian Creole interpreter is needed to translate a presentation on the basic principles of financial literacy: spending, savings, credit, investments, and fraud prevention. Volunteers are encouraged to create interactive workshops that cater to our Haitian clients' needs, such as how to open a bank account, use an ATM, fill out checks, apply for credit, invest in stocks, among others. No experience necessary, only fluency in French or Creole required. A general volunteer orientation and training will be provided. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about the refugee resettlement process and make a worthwhile contribution in enabling refugees, parolees, and other migrants to become savvy about money management. Don't delay!
