Mission Statement

Betakupa Heart4kids helps youth realize their full potentials by encouraging innovation and providing entrepreneurial training and mentorship to the youth in Zimbabwe

Description

Betakupa Heart4kids is a non Profit organization formed to provide innovative and competent support to needy communities and organizations. Highly targeted and unified services support local development initiatives - especially among the disadvantaged.

For over a decade, Betakupa Heart4kids annually deployed over a dozen non-technical volunteers from all over the world to work with local communities on OVC Orphans and vulnerable children type of projects. Their efforts augmented the work of our project-dedicated personnel. Volunteers supported a broad based set of child care activities.

The Project started 2002 focusing on community outreach for children ages birth to 18 years old. As our population of existing and new participants has presented a new demographic, our mission has evolved to serve at risk youth ages 18 to 25 years old. Added emphasis is now directed toward managing risk associated with unemployment and homelessness.

Our renewed focus will continue the care for the minor children and other community segments through the empowered youth. Heart4kids sees youth empowerment as a sustainable way of handing over the baton to the youth to address the OVC and other community challenges.
