Wellness Speakers' Bureau volunteers represent community members with an interest in advocacy for the wellness of the LGBTQ and Trans community in Santa Clara County.

The Wellness Speakers' Bureau is a group of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and all other rainbow identities who speak about our personal experiences as members of the LGBTQ community. We are a group diverse in age, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, ability, and socioeconomic background.

The Wellness Speakers' Bureau promotes awareness and education about issues of gender and sexuality. We share our stories to educate the community about our pasts, and provide a forum to discuss ways we can ensure a positive future for LGBTQ persons. The goal of the Wellness Speakers Bureau is to eliminate stigma associated with being LGBTQ, and to provide a supportive environment for all persons willing to listen.

We are currently looking for LGBTQ and Trans adults of all ages, focusing onthe experiences of our LGBTQ adults and elders.

Volunteers commit to attend various panel opportunities. Volunteers also commit to regular trainings and volunteer meetings.

Priority consideration will be given to individuals who exhibit lived, personal, or professoinal experiences in the LGBTQ community. All applicants will be considered equally, in consideration to race, ethnicity, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, ability, national origin or ancestry, citizenship, religion or creed.
