Duties: Urban Opportunities provides job readiness training and placement in Portland Public, Parkrose and Centennial high schools. We promote success in school and prepare underserved young people for success as post-secondary students and future workers.

Responsibilities:
" Support students in creative thinking and execution of a service learning plan
" Facilitate up to 2 youth groups
" Coordinate and supervise internship experiences with student groups
" Be a caring and supportive role model to underserved youth
" Model good work ethic and positive attitude towards work


Training Provided:
" Impact NWs New Employee Orientation
" Urban Opportunities Program-Specific Orientation
" Agency vehicle training
" Access to Impact NWs wide range of training opportunities

Schedule & Commitment:
" 16 hours per week for a total of 500 hours at field placement
" Schedule varies on interns availability and academic course schedule.

Location: SE Portland, North Portland, East Portland and Gresham Qualifications: " 21+ years old
" Must pass criminal background check
" Must pass agency driving background check
" Must be a current BSW/MSW student
" Must be able to effectively travel to various sites Address: OR Minimum age: 21
