SUMMARY

Amara is seeking an intern to support its increasing communications needs. This is an unpaid internship, approximately 10-15 hours per week. Applicants must show demonstrated interest in writing and storytelling, working knowledge of social media and other digital channels, and a deep desire to apply both in a non-profit/community services setting. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, enjoys collaborating with individuals and teams, and is comfortable managing multiple priorities.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide project management support
  • Assist with administrative and organizational tasks
  • Repurpose or write blog/Facebook/Instagram posts, website text, emails, announcements and other content
  • Research best practices and write analysis reports
  • Assist with special projects, as assigned
