Our mission is to empower the community by coordinating programs and activities for our youth that promote health, physical activity, mental wellness and personal development to improve community safety and increase personal opportunities for our participants.

Description

Community Now is a non-profit Organization that advocates for the Youth of Moreno Valley. Our goal is to promote total body wellness by creating student leadership teams on the school campus. We encourage physical activity, mental wellness and personal safety. Our program supports our students by providing weekly fun activities that teach Coping Skills, Problem Solving Strategies and build Self-Esteem. The activities show our student leaders how to solve problems, work in groups, explore their individuality and work on positive social skills and behaviors. Our Student Leaders also help bring safety awareness to parents asking them to drive safely during the morning commute.

The Student Leadership Team’s (SLT) goal is to support youth by providing weekly fun activities that can reduce bullying on school campuses by teaching Coping Skills, Problem Solving Strategies and building Self-Esteem. Our weekly activities such as "stepping stones", The Mirror, The Human Knot and many others show our students how to solve problems, work in groups, explore their individuality and work on positive social skills and behavior.
