Works directly with the business and consults on what they need from systems/processes to achieve objectives with emphasis on mobile and user experience objectives; facilitates discovery sessions; develops Project/Business logic requirements/design documents, creative briefs, and use cases; leads user acceptance testing; integrates marketing/e-business strategies, channels, technologies, principles, processes; functions as key liaison between business stakeholders and development teams throughout project lifecycle and during day to day operations.

Reports to: Sr Ecommerce Business Analysis/UAT

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Extensive interaction with the Director of Ecommerce Development & other team, group, department members

  • Extensive interaction with business users, 3rd-party vendors, and onshore/offshore support resources

  • Owns elicitation, analysis, documentation, and management of mobile/user experience (UX) business requirements

  • Leverages and defines effective processes for the capture, review, and approval of requirements

  • Assists with diagnoses and resolution of Incident and Service requests that pertain to mobile/UX solutions

  • Assists in development and execution of standardized, repeatable test processes for the organization and team-level use

  • Provides subject matter expertise and analytical support to facilitate mobi-app/site project and ongoing operations

  • Reports on UX and mobi-app/site best practices, mobile/UX standards, competitors’ products, legal requirements.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 1 year demonstrated experience with mobile and UX projects serving as Business Analyst or related role

  • 1 year experience UX/mobi-app/site testing and project lifecycle (requirements gathering, go-live, steady state)

  • Experience working with third-party vendors with an understanding of systems integration

  • Strong analytical skills, problem solving, and documentation skills with keen ability to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements in business terms

  • Strong communications skills, verbal and written, and is able to convey complex issues in a concise manner

  • Must be organized and capable of tracking /managing multiple high priority issues simultaneously

  • Highly self-sufficient; a strong self-starter; logical, methodical, and has strong interest in process improvement

  • Effectively liaisons with multiple groups; thrives in highly collaborative environment

Description

Rare Genomics Institute (RGI) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping rare disease
patients find a diagnosis, treatment, and pathway to a cure. Through personalized research
projects, RGI provides access to world leading medical institutions and scientists to conduct
genomic sequencing, coordinates with clinicians and counselors to interpret findings, and offers an
online crowd-funding platform to deliver financial solutions. RGI also supports rare disease
advocacy by fostering an online community of rare disease patients and supporting rare disease
research through a yearly grant competition.

Since being founded in 2011, RGI has completed over 300 genetic sequencing and analysis
projects, assisted patients fund over $3.5 million worth of genomic sequencing, discovered 8
unique genetic mutations in-house, given over $2 million dollars in grants to researchers on rare
disease, and developed an online community with over 10,000 rare disease members.
Through volunteers, RGI is able to slowly push science and health care forward to meet the needs
