Disability access professionals for training input and advice
ORGANIZATION: iConnect 24/7
Please visit the new page to apply.
I'm looking for volunteers to serve as subject matter experts (SMEs) on a virtual panel making recommendations for training curricula covering disability and technology. We will review current material that we've published covering accessibility features in mobile devices (Android/iOS) and make recommendations about additional materials and platforms. Additionally, the panel will make recommendations about train-the-trainer and training best practices curricula. Our materials will be made available to the public and organizations like libraries, assisted living facilities, and organizations that work with those who are aging into disabiltiy/disabled. The final platforms for this material include websites, videos, and printed training material.
Applicants are welcome from both practice and academia. I'd like to talk about need, audiences, challenges to training, platforms that are underrepresented, and anything else that you, as a SME practitioner, can bring to the table.
