Food Link is a volunteer-based food rescue organization in Arlington, MA. We are looking for people who are interested in various types of volunteer work and who want to make a difference in the community by reducing food waste and helping to provide healthy food to people in need.

Primarily, we seek volunteers to help with the collection and distribution of donated food. Volunteers work in groups to collect food from grocery stores and bakeries, sort the food and then deliver it to social services agencies in the area. Food Link operates seven days a week and there are several shifts available: 7am - 9am; 9am - 11am; 10am - 12pm; and 9pm -10pm.

Additionally, we are seeking volunteers to help increase the sustainability of the organization. Specifically we are looking for volunteers to help with fundraising, including developing our donor base, organizing fundraising events and writing outreach materials. We are also looking for volunteers who are interested in administrative work, bookkeeping and updating our donor database. We would also appreciate technology support with our database and website. We do outreach at lots of local events and would appreciate help sharing what we do with the public.
