Food Link is a volunteer-based food rescue organization in Arlington, MA. We are looking for people who are interested in volunteering with our food rescue operations and who want to make a difference in the community by reducing food waste and helping to provide healthy food to people in need. This addresses the impacts of Covid-19 by trying to help reduce the increased food insecurity.
Primarily, we seek volunteers to help with the collection and distribution of donated food. Volunteers work in groups to collect food from grocery stores, sort the food and then deliver it to social services agencies in the area. Food Link operates seven days a week and there are several shifts available in the morning, afternoon, and evening depending on the day.
Let us know you are interested and our volunteer coordinator will get back to you with next steps.
No additional volunteer opportunities at this time.
