Lunch Set-Up Volunteers assist in getting the event site ready for lunch when the participants return from their ride. This will include covering tables with table cloth, organizing and setting up the beverage station, hanging banners and decor...etc.
Volunteers will receive an event t-shirt and lunch provided by Outback Steakhouse, Bonefish Grill and Carrabba's Italian Grill. (served 11am-1pm)
Event Description- The 8th annual rideATAXIA Philly will be held at Montgomery County Community College in Blue Bell on Sunday, October 16th 2016 and will offer multiple route options on scenic country roads, followed by delicious post ride food prepared by Outback Steakhouse.
rideATAXIA Philly benefits the Friedreich's Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA)- a nonprofit organization dedicated to research leading to treatments and a cure for Friedreich's ataxia (FA). FA is a debilitating, life shortening degenerative neuro-muscular disorder.
rideATAXIA cycling events across the United States have raised invaluable awareness for FA and over $4 million to support FA research since 2007.

FARA's Mission is to marshal and focus the resources and relationships needed to cure FA by raising funds for research, promoting public awareness, and aligning scientists, patients, clinicians, government agencies, pharmaceutical companies and other organizations dedicated to curing FA and related diseases.
Description
The Friedreich’s Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA) is a national, public, 501(c)(3), non-profit, tax-exempt organization dedicated to the pursuit of scientific research leading to treatments and a cure for Friedreich’s ataxia.
FARA focuses on grant making for FA research and building collaborations with organizations dedicated to advancing treatments for FA. Due to the progressive nature of the disease and the promise of treatments in development, there is urgency to our efforts. Directing attention and resources to FA research and partnering with others that share this commitment, FARA believes it can help bring forward effective treatments and a cure for FA.
