Here at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Peninsula we are giving much needed opportunities to the youth of our community. To accomplish this takes tremendous administrative work. This internship will expose you to data management, donor stewardship and financial record keeping that can help you get your career started in non-profit leadership. Aspects of marketing and customer service will also come along with the projects you will lead.

We are seeking a candidate in college or fresh out of college who can commit to at least 4 hours a week, working out of our headquarters in Menlo Park, CA on either Wednesday mornings or afternoons. We need 2 volunteers in total, one to work a 9:00am-12:00pm shift and one to work a 1:00pm-5:00pm shift.

Your work will help thousands of young people in need and will serve as an admirable step as you build your career.

About Boys & Girls Clubs of the Peninsula

Location:

Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide the low-income youth of our community with the opportunities they need to achieve school success

Description

The Boys and Girls Clubs of the Peninsula's vision is that all young people, if they work hard, can live fulfilling lives with a good education, a fair paying job, decent housing, and the ability to raise a family. We want kids' futures to depend more upon their own actions and less upon the circumstances into which they were born.

It's an incredible time to live in Silicon Valley. Many are enjoying unprecedented levels of growth and wealth. People from all over the world are striving to move here to participate in our culture of optimism and opportunity. At the same time, this prosperity isn't being felt by all, and too many young people are growing up disconnected from what makes our community so dynamic.
