ORGANIZATION: Calapooia Watershed Council

Linn-Benton Salmon watch is part of a regional hands-on field trip program that teaches 5th and 6th graders about salmon and healthy watersheds. Learning stations include Salmon Biology, Macroinvertebrates, Water Quality, and Riparian health. Volunteers are needed to lead the learning stations for our student groups.

Program partners host THREE free trainings in the late summer and fall to teach our volunteers everything they will need to know before they teach their first lesson. If you love the outdoors and want to share that love with youth, please join us at Salmon Watch!

Volunteer opportunities are also available for Sweet Home and Alsea. Trainings will take place on August 26th in Corvallis, September 10th in Albany, and October 15th in Alsea.

For more information about the program and to register for a training, please visit www.lbsw.org
