Nevada Volunteers is the Governor’s commission on service and we need your help. We are looking for a friendly and responsible individual with great communication skills to be a link between their community and Nevada Volunteers.
This position requires someone who can build or has connections in the community, can represent Nevada Volunteers in a professional manner at local events and share information from Nevada Volunteers with the community. The Community Liaison should have knowledge of the local community, leaders, associations, and groups that may be stakeholders around civic engagement and volunteerism. The Community Liaison and Nevada Volunteers will check in monthly and provide feedback after events. The average hours the Community Liaison needs to commit to would be 1-5 hours per month, and is variable depending on events in the community.
The Community Liaison volunteer will be trained on the services, mission, and resources Nevada Volunteers provides so they can effectively communicate with local organizations and stakeholders. The Community Liaison will also be provided mileage reimbursement to attend trainings and events at Nevada Volunteers, located in Reno, and other locations as appropriate.
