Calling all flower lovers! Random Acts of Flowers is here!
Random Acts of Flowers takes flowers that would typically be thrown away after events, from grocery stores, and memorials and repurposes them into new arrangements for individuals in hospitals in our community!
We are launching in Indianapolis this month!
Around the country, people love volunteering at RAF! We make it fun and easy and we create a wonderful community of flower lovers who see this as a way to give back to their community.
Volunteers help with the following: pick up flowers from around the city, prep them, arrange flowers, and deliver to hospitals and assisted living facilities across Indy.
Please join us for our next volunteer orientations on September 26th or 27th.

Random Acts of Flowers improves the emotional health and wellbeing of individuals in healthcare facilities by delivering recycled flowers, encouragement and personal moments of kindness. As we go about our mission we also reduce waste from lightly used and unsold flowers and other floral materials, including vases, bows and other floral materials and composting any green waste
Description
Random Acts of Flowers is a 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2008. We operate 5 branches (Chicago, Knoxville, Silicon Valley, Tampa Bay and Indianapolis)
VISION
To inspire and nurture a culture of care and compassion.
HISTORYIn July 2007, Random Acts of Flowers’ founder, Larsen Jay, was in a near-fatal accident. While confined to his hospital room, the outpouring of support that Larsen received in the form of daily visitors and dozens of floral arrangements immediately aided in his long recovery.
When Larsen was capable of leaving his room he noticed how many of his fellow patients did not have visitors or flowers - the very thing that helped him so much in those early and difficult days. Within moments the first "random act of flowers" delivery was made, repurposing his flowers and delivering them to patients in nearby hospital rooms. The memories of how a simple gesture touched his fellow patients compelled Larsen to form Random Acts of Flowers in 2008
