Interlock Media, Inc. located near Google in Kendall Square, MA, is an activist film company that points to solutions for environmental, human rights and public health challenges. We support informed policy by producing entertaining documentary and dramatic media works.

We are seeking a bright paralegal for rights and clearances for independent documentaries. This position is ideal for those looking to gain experience in the film industry, law students, or aspiring entertainment lawyers.

Qualifications: Flexibility and initiative in a resource-limited environment are a must. Must have ability to establish and promote good working relationships. Must have an even disposition with a poised confidence and have the ability to deal effectively and politely with people from different backgrounds, experience levels and in all types of situations. It is essential that the individual be courteous and flexible under stress. Must be able to work independently and take initiative.

The following skills and experience are preferred, but not required:

  • Legal experience or special counsel experience

  • Experience with office management

  • Superior writing skills

Hours: Min. 10 hours/week. Additional hours are welcomed. Position is typically 4 months.

Compensation: None.

Location: Working on site is preferred. Convenient access to public transportation and just across the river from Boston.

Description

Interns participate in all aspects of film and media production, including: research writing coordination of crews participation in shoots participation in film editing scriptwriting production of print materials any task that may arise

Salary: None Qualifications:

Interns must have strong communication skills, a desire to learn, and a pro-active attitude. The following skills and experience are preferred, but not required: superior writings skills technical ability computer skills (mac platform) experience with camera, lighting, or other gear.
