Will participate in research during the pre-production and production stages of film and media projects. This volunteer position is an excellent opportunity to hone researching skills.
Margaret Fuller Doc Researcher
Margaret Fuller, A Thoroughly Modern Woman is a documentary, currently in pre-production, that tells the story of Margaret Fuller, a spirited woman, groundbreaking feminist, literary critic, editor, war correspondent, and revolutionary. A woman who lived bravely, making her way in a male-dominated world on the strength of her education, abilities, and intellect only to meet a tragic end after sacrificing everything for a scandalous Italian love affair.
Will participate in research during the pre-production and production stages of Fuller . Interviews with Fuller scholars and biographers are right around the corner and will occur this summer.
Extraordinary Passage Doc Researcher
The Extraordinary Passage of the Great White Hunter, is a documentary film, currently in progress, evoking the remarkable and telling adventures of the Harvard Medical and Field Museum of Chicago scientist, Harold Jefferson Coolidge's zoological expeditions to Africa and Indochina in the early nineteen twenties and thirties.
As a researcher for Passage you’ll be instrumental in expanding our base of archival and historic film sources on some of the key players in the rise of the modern conservation movement. You’ll also be researching specific subjects and narrative elements. We especially welcome individuals with a background in American history, international history, international development and the environment, southeast Asia, Africa, China and race relations.
We applaud excellent communication skills and a pro-active attitude. Applicant should posses the ability to work independently, remain flexible and take initiative in a resource-limited environment. Advanced degrees in Geography, History, African/Asian studies, development or environmental studies appreciated.

For our part, we are dedicated to your hands on training and participation from day one.
Hours: Min. 15 hours/week. Additional hours are welcomed. Position is typically 4 months.
