Make a difference in your community - tutor a child in need! (Lake City)
The Youth Tutoring Program needs caring and dedicated volunteers like you to be mentors and tutors for students living in North Seattle’s low and mixed-income housing community, Jackson Park.
YTP serves a diverse group of students, many who come from immigrant and refugee families.
Not only do we train our volunteers to be effective tutors, we provide our volunteers with the tools (such as individualized tutor plans and skill-building activities) so that you have what you need to make a difference!
The Jackson Park tutoring center is open the following times:
Mondays and Wednesdays for three sessions each: 4:20-5:20, 5:30-6:30, and 6:40-7:40.
Tuesdays and Thursdays for two sessions each: 5:30-6:30 and 6:40-7:40pm.
Volunteers sign up for two hours per week, and are asked to commit to volunteering for six months.
The minimum age for volunteering is 14, and High School students are encouraged to volunteer!
