Come work, play and explore the Colorado Rockies at Snow Mountain Ranch! Volunteer for28 hours per week and receive free lodging, meals and access to most SMR facilities and area attractions (skiing, snowshoeing and dog sledding in the winter and golf, hiking, fishing and horseback riding in the summer).

The YMCA of the Rockies - Snow Mountain Ranch, located near Granby, CO (8600’ elevation) is a four-season, family -oriented conference center with a mission of creating an environment that builds a healthy spirit, mind and body for all. SMR hosts conferences, family reunions, retreats, groups, families, individuals and youth by providing lodging, meeting space, dining, programming and recreation.

SMR has over 5,000 acres with miles of Nordic skiing trails, snowshoeing and downhill skiing at both Granby Ranch and Winter Park Resort in the winter; and hiking, biking, fishing, golfing and a ton of outdoor activities in the summer. And the fall is spectacular.

Volunteers can elect to either camp free (summer only) in the "staff only" campground with FHUs and Internet access or stay free in the Pinewood staff housing complex. Pinewood rooms are like a traditional hotel with private bath. All meals are included. Volunteers also have access (most are free to volunteers) to all that Grand County Colorado offers such as golf, fishing, hiking, biking, theater and the nearby Rocky Mountain National Park.

There is a wide variety of jobs available to volunteers (summer, fall, winter and spring). Go to our website, www.snowmountainranch.org/work/volunteering/ for more information, a list of job openings and an application.

So, why just tour the Colorado Rockies when you can experience it to the fullest. Freely offer your talents, values and skills to our mission of providing our guests, youth and families with an environment that promotes and builds healthy spirits, minds and bodies.
