ORGANIZATION: Rape Victim Advocacy Program

The University of Iowa Violence Prevention group is open to all University of Iowa students (undergraduate or graduate/professional) who are dedicated to ending sexual violence at the University of Iowa.

Duties can include:

  • Co-facilitating workshops to University of Iowa students, faculty, and staff.
  • Create and enact information and awareness campaigns aimed at ending sexual violence
  • Help create, plan, and staff events on campus during Sexual Assault Activism Month and beyond
  • Assist in staffing information tables to raise awareness of RVAP services and prevention activities

Description

RVAP is a sexual assault victim advocate and prevention education agency. We serve anyone impacted by sexual violence -- survivors and/or their loved ones in the following eastern Iowa counties: Cedar, Des Moines, Henry, Iowa, Johnson, Lee, Washington,Van Buren. This includes but is not limited to individuals of any age, gender, identity, culture, etc.
