HOPE Community is an emergency homeless shelter for families with children. We serve around 200 individuals a day, and the Director needs your help!
We are looking for a mature, reliable volunteer with some general office work expereince. You will work closely with our super-fun and hilarious Director doing filing, organizing, helping with mail, typing, and other office work. Plus, you'll meet lots of characters and new friends! :)
2 hours a week, between 8 AM and 5 PM, very flexible!

Our mission is to end homelessness in the Big Bend through leadership, education, advocacy, and the provision of quality services.
Description
The Big Bend Homeless Coalition is the area's largest provider of safe housing for men, women, and children who are homeless. Because of the generosity of our donors and volunteers, we are able to house more than 250 people every day that would otherwise stay in an emergency shelter, in a car, or on the streets. Different than emergency shelters, we offer our residents a mix of transitional and permenent housing programs designed to meet their basic needs, help them find jobs, and become self-sufficent. In the past six years, we have helped more than 1,000 people transition from homelessness to stable housing.
