Mission Statement

Bay Area Turning Point, Inc. provides recovery solution services for survivors of family violence and sexual assault and facilitates violence prevention strategies for societal change in partnership with our community. AGENCY VISION: Peace. Every Woman, Every Child, Every Man...Every Day.

Description

Bay Area Turning Point (BATP) began as a grassroots effort formed by volunteers in direct response to a United Way Assessment that identified a widespread need in the Bay Area for aid to victims of physical crime (domestic violence, child abuse, child sexual abuse, elder abuse, incest, rape, threats, sexual harassment, date rape and dating violence). Five years later, a newly constructed, debt-free shelter facility opened its doors to the Bay Area offering compassion, a safe haven to heal and provide essential services.
