The front desk at Skyline can get very busy, so this position would require the ability to multitask. The receptionist needs to answer the phone, speak to patrons who might have questions, and assist other programs with small things, such as if someone needs to make an appointment with Clothes 4 Kids or pick up eyeglasses.
Training will be provided but someone with clerical experience would be preferred, or simply a history of customer service. It would help if the receptionist is organized and required for them to be patient and kind.
Our office hours start at 9 AM and usually go to 4 throughout the week. We lost our previous receptionist so we are in need every day for someone to work the desk. Depending on what your availability is, any time you can contribute would be appreciated!
Because there is training involved, this would also ideally be a long-term commitment.

Skyline has served the OKC community for over 40 years. Our agency is a mission of the United Methodist Church which offers different services for at-risk & under-served adults, youth and children. In addition to the Food Resource Center, Skyline is home to several other programs meant to assist those struggling with poverty. The ultimate goal is to restore dignity to the lives of patrons, end stereotypes, and foster a new era of compassion and respect for those living on the margins.
