We are looking for people to help us organize NBLCA's 1 st Annual Field Day . We know you have amazing backgrounds, life experiences, and skill sets and we invite you to become part of our core group to help us mobilize - and have fun while doing it!
The 1 st Annual Field Day wouldn’t be possible without people who spring into action. There are many Planning Committee Positions available to choose from - and there is something for everyone, so sign-up today!
The next Committee Meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at 6:00 pm at the NBLCA National Office: 215 W. 125 th St. Floor 2 | New York, NY 10027 .
No prior planning experience is necessary! Everyone has something to offer and the roles are multifaceted. Here are some of the ways you can contribute to the Planning Committee:
Event planning: Bring your passions, ideas, and connections! Help us brainstorm events, coordinate logistics, gather volunteers, and represent NBLCA.
Outreach: Communication is key! Assist us with our newsletters, social media accounts, email inquiries, and media requests. Dream up blog posts, member spotlights, and other ways to celebrate our community.
Resource raising: For this event, we will need to solicit donations, food, product, services, gift certificates, etc. from local restaurants or markets. We need people with connections and/or who aren’t afraid to ask for what they need, and help us find creative ways to build up our resources to cover event costs.
After the first meeting, we will meet bi-weekly and then will increase to weekly meetings as the event approaches. Each meeting will last approximately 1.5-2 hrs.
As a Committee Member, not only are you helping to make this event possible, you are making a difference in the lives of all those affected by HIV/AIDS. If you would like to volunteer on the planning committee, click here to sign-up. If you have any questions or are looking for other ways to get involved, email me at email@example.com.
