The International Development Social Media Intern will work with the Child Scholarship Program to produce written materials, enhancing the overall quality of our program services, marketing, and outreach. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is interested in writing, research, international development, and social media. Our ideal candidate is passionate about improving the lives of children in the developing world through education.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Write biweekly blogs pertaining to CSP
* Research relevant content for blogs/Facebook/Instagram/Twitter/other written materials including: Ugandan
education, Acholi region, conflict in Northern Uganda, current events in East Africa, current events with Alliance for African Assistance/ refugee content, etc
* Create Facebook, Instagram, Twitter posts as needed
* Manage and update the Acholi beads website in place to help raise money for our children in Uganda.
REQUIREMENTS:
COMMITMENT:
The position requires a minimum 3-6 month commitment for 5-10 hours per week.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
* Excellent command of written English including: grammar, sentence construction, paragraph flow, etc
* Good proof reading skills, detail oriented, and organized
* Familiarity with social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Blogs, Flickr,) and MS Word, Publisher, Power Point
