Architecture Center Houston is recruiting volunteers to train and serve as docents for our walking and bicycle tours.
Training will take place Saturdays, 8:00am - 11:00am, September 7 - September 29.
Tours are offered Saturdays, 10am - noon, October through May.
Docents are asked to lead 3 - 6 tours during the season or more if they are available. Additional time is required for preparation and practice. This varies for each individual and can be done on their own schedule.
Content and public speaking skills are covered in training. An architecture back ground is not required, but minimally a strong interest is preferred.
Qualified volunteers are able to practice and lead a 2 hour tour for groups of 10 - 15 people.
Please direct inquiries via email to jennifer@aiahouston.org.
