Mission Statement

The Feline Foundation of Greater Washington, Inc. is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the rescue, care and adoption of homeless cats and kittens in the metropolitan Washington DC community. Formed in 1995, our mission is to provide the necessary veterinary care for animals in our program, to find permanent, loving homes for them where they will be treated with love and respect for the rest of their lives, and to educate the public regarding responsible cat care.

Description

The Feline Foundation of Greater Washington, Inc., is an all-volunteer cat rescue group. Our volunteers are involved in the rescue and foster care of homeless cats and kittens. We have adoption fairs once a month in Reston and every Sunday in Leesburg; adoptions are also done daily with interested adoptees visiting the foster homes to meet cats and at our adoption center inside the Leesburg Petsmart. We have no paid employees - all donations go directly to the care of the cats in our program. No healthy cat is ever euthanized by the FFGW.
