PositionTitle:Human Resources Volunteer

Time Commitment:

PositionisTemporary: Two four hour shifts per week for 6 weeks

PositionSummary:

To assist with special projects that come and go. For example an update and edit to our employee handbook.

EssentialDutiesandResponsibilities:

• Under direction of the HR Team, update our employee handbook. Mostly language clarification, format, and editing. This isn’t an overhaul of policies and procedures, but more of an edit to ensure format and language is clear. We want to ensure policies that have been updated since the last handbook edit are also included. (Last edit was July 2014).

Desired Minimum Qualifications:

• General knowledge of Human Resources; policies and procedures
• Excellent writing and word processing skills
• Can understand instructions and work independently
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing; able to be collaborative

ToolsandEquipmentUsed:

• Microsoft Word
• Desktop Computer

PhysicalDemands:

• Extended use of hands
• Long periods of sitting

** This position is temporary, but there are other volunteer opportunites after the project is completed!
