Purpose :
To plan, implement, organize, and evaluate trainings for Passion Impact members at schools with students and community members.
Description : Our Operations Intern will be responsible for confirming dates and volunteers, organizing agendas, preparing for meetings, and delegating the leadership at meetings and leadership trainings. Much of our programming surrounds building students’ professional and personal skills and providing trainings that focus on these will enable them to carry out their programs with more preparedness. Our prime candidate will not only believe in our Golden Circle and mission, but also be invested in setting long term goals for PI as a whole.
Required Education
Recent graduate (within 1 year) or currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in business, education, operations, social work, nonprofit management or related field of study preferred.
Desired Skills:
Expert calendar mapping
Positive communication through email, phone, Skype, and face-to-face
Proficient in Google Drive (Particularly Google Forms and Google Sheets or MS Excel) Google Calendar, Meistertask, Mind Meister, Mailchimp, Salesforce, and/or ability to learn technology at a fast pace
Team player and the ability and willingness to work at least 10 hours per week
Analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Enthusiastic about Passion Impact’s mission and team focused
Duties:
Evaluate internship training after attending
Thoroughly learn and understand all applications used at PI
Work to understand which group need which applications for their positions
Plan and facilitate training teams
Complete an Internship Portfolio that includes a personal reflection and a presentation
Work with the team to plan out a schedule that’s mutually beneficial
Reserve space for the meetings and communicate dates with the PI team, volunteers, and students
Build a budget and purchase all necessary materials and setup all meetings
Serve on our Portland Advisory Board Community & Partnerships Committee
Complete an Internship Portfolio that includes a personal reflection and a presentation
Commitment:
February 4, 2017 - June 11, 2017 (possibility to extend based on performance and project availability)
Must Attend February 4, 2017 Training
Must attend weekly office meetings Monday 9-10 AM and Friday 12:30-1:30 PM
