Purpose
To construct and act on a sustainable approach to engaging existing and acquiring new donors.
Description
Passion Impact (PI) is a startup nonprofit based in Portland, Oregon that empowers students to build a healthy habit of volunteering their passions. By growing our relationships with our existing donors, we can learn better ways to approach our mission and to build a strong base of supporters in the Portland area. This position requires complete focus on donors with a combined understanding of how Passion Impact is moving forward. Reporting to the COIO, the Donor Relations Intern will have a goal to raise $10,000. Our prime candidate will not only believe in our Golden Circle and mission, but also be invested in setting long term goals for PI as a whole.
Required Education
Recent graduate (within 1 year) or currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in business, hospitality, operations, social work, nonprofit management or related field of study preferred.

Positive communication through email, phone, video, and face-to-face
Budgeting and planning
Sales experience
Mailchimp or email experience
Enthusiastic about Passion Impact’s mission and team focused
Effective written and oral communication skills
Ability to remain calm in a high stress environment
Passionate about fundraising and furthering Passion Impact’s mission
Proficient in Google Drive (Particularly Google Forms and Google Sheets or MS Excel) Google Calendar, Meistertask, Mind Meister, Mailchimp, Salesforce, and/or ability to learn technology at a fast pace
Objectives
Identify and understand current Passion Impact donors
Understand how the Salesforce Plan communication methods, times, fields for understanding PI donors, and more in order to organize our Salesforce Database
Build a Passion Posse Monthy donor program that incentivizes monthly donors
Raise $10,000 from current and new donors
Communicate with Donors to understand how they would like to be contacted and note in
Serve on our Portland Advisory Board Community & Partnerships Committee
Complete an Internship Portfolio that includes a personal reflection and a presentation
Duties
Send out monthly newsletter to donors
Call donors to update them on our progress
Collaborate with fundraising events coordinator on events to find ways to increase donor base in Portland
Commitment
February 4, 2017 - June 11, 2017 (possibility to extend based on performance and project availability)
Must Attend February 4, 2017 Training
Must attend weekly office meetings Monday 9-10 AM and Friday 12:30-1:30 PM
Compensation
As a small grassroots organization we do not currently have funding to compensate interns. If you are a student and qualify for workstudy at PCC or PSU, we will gladly work with your college or university to make sure that you receive compensation for your time devoted to Passion Impact. We are also happy to help you receive course credit.

Committees meet monthly to do the behind-the-scenes work to ensure that the organization runs smoothly for the students we serve.
