Job Description:
Purpose
To build foundations for long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with organizations in the Portland area.
Description:
Passion Impact (PI) is a startup nonprofit based in Portland, Oregon that empowers students to build a healthy habit of volunteering their passions. As we are building our influence across the Portland area, we would like to continually connect with our community. This means that sourcing funds, advice, and mentors from local organizations is a necessity to make our impact. You will be identifying how Passion Impact can provide value for companies that share our values; creating material and an approach plan; and then pursuing sponsorship goals that we have partnered on. Our prime candidate will not only believe in our Golden Circle and mission, but also be invested in setting long term goals for PI as a whole. We work hard at PI and expect the same of you, but you also better be ready to have fun!
Required Education
Recent graduate or currently pursuing a degree in business, marketing, nonprofit management, or related field
Experience and Skills Desired
Strong communication skills (email, Skype, phone, and face-to-face)
Brainstorming that leads to innovative action
Sponsorship communication with local companies
Research and presentation skills
Sales experience
Google Applications
Database organization
Objectives
Identify 200 Companies poised for sponsorship partnering with PI and why
Create a Passion Impact value proposition for potential sponsors
Contact, meet with, and confirm corporate sponsors that match the goals we partnered on at the beginning of the internship
Build a sustainable plan for any and future Corporate Sponsorship Builders to follow
Understand how Ethical Reasoning in Action ties to the internship, the people involved, and to yourself
Complete an Internship Portfolio that includes a personal reflection and a presentation
Create at volunteer opportunities for at least 5 students to get engaged
Duties
Serve on our Portland Advisory Board Community & Partnerships Committee
Identify and reach out to organizations to build partnerships
Collaborate with PI staff/interns to determine organizations that are the best fit for our mission & vision
Minimum Commitment: August 29, 2016 - January 20, 2017 with possibility to extend based on performance and project availability
Compensation: As small grassroots organization we are currently unable to compensate our interns. If you are a student and qualify for workstudy we will gladly work with your college or university to make sure that you receive compensation for your time devoted to Passion Impact. We are also more than happy to assist you in receiving course credit.

Volunteer Positions Available: Lend your specialized skills to one of Passion Impact's capacity building committees. Committees meet monthly to do the behind-the-scenes work to ensure that the organization runs smoothly for the students we serve.
