The VNA of Somerset Hills offers an in-home Telehealth monitoring program, allowing individuals with serious illnesses such as diabetes, heart failure, etc. to remain living safely and independently at home. The telehealth monitor records daily vital signs (blood pressure, heartrate, etc.) that are then remotely monitored by a nurse located at VNASH headquarters.

We are searching for one or two volunteers to install Telehealth monitoring equipment in the homes of patients receiving home health services. Equipment is easy to install, comes packed in a rolling case for easy transport and weighs about 25 pounds. A basic understanding of electronics is helpful. Thorough training will be provided. Some lifting/bending is required. Good phone skills are needed for arranging installation appointments.

Travel within Somerset and/or Morris County is required. Assignment frequency varies greatly depending on client needs. You might be asked to perform just one installation in a month, and then two within one week, so prospective volunteers should be comfortable with a varying, flexible schedule.

This volunteer opportunity is available now and is ongoing. Interview, background check, medical screenings and HIPAA training are required. Must have vehicle, valid driver's license, registration and car insurance.
