Norfolk County RSVPDedham, MA 02026

Norfolk County RSVP invites volunteers age 55+ to join and serve in partner schools throughout Norfolk County. RSVP volunteers assist host teachers in elementary school classrooms (K-5) to provide one-on-one and small group support for young learners who need extra attention, typically in reading or math. Other volunteer opportunities such as art, music, science, and library support may also be available in some schools. We welcome caring adults with a range of backgrounds, life experiences, and expertise who want to make a difference in the lives of children.

Norfolk County RSVP provides training and placement assistance for potential volunteers through our LEAP (Learning Engagement and Academic Partners) Initiative. School placement begins in August and is confirmed after early-September training. School volunteers are asked to commit to a minimum of 1-1/2 hours once a week throughout the school year.

Currently, RSVP supports volunteers in selected partner schools located in Braintree, Dedham, N eedham, Norfolk, Randolph, Sharon, Stoughton, Walpole, and Weymouth.

A CORI background check and phone interview with one of the RSVP staff is required for all interested school volunteers.

Norfolk County RSVP is part of Senior Corps, a national service organization.
